I love the unpredictability of my projects. The first meeting with a new client may spark a few ideas, and the design process begins with swirling thoughts, intricate designs, and in-depth conversations about the desired feel of the space. Understanding how the space needs to function and how those needs vary from client to client always intrigues me. It's where I find my inspiration. Getting to know people through the design process is one of the most rewarding aspects of this job. Discovering the differences and uniqueness in each home for every individual is a wonderful journey.
In this project, which involved a complete gut renovation in Givatayim, this collaborative relationship rang especially true. Naomi aimed to create a cheerful, joyful home for herself and her two beautiful children. The initial goal was to design a space that would flood light into the living area and feature a highly functional kitchen (as Naomi has a passion for baking). We dismantled most of the walls and restructured the entire space, utilizing every corner for storage and ensuring a seamless flow throughout the home.
Adhering to our core values of sustainability, we embarked on this adventure by blending new and old elements, incorporating thrifting into the process. We meticulously selected lighting fixtures and furniture from the secondhand market, creating an eclectic ambiance throughout. Vintage lighting and reupholstered furniture from the past, along with retained elements from the pre-renovation home such as shelves and bedside lights, uniquely stand out.
The outcome is a happy home, primarily shaped by a joyful family who truly deserve to reside in a space filled with sparkling joy, reflecting their essence and allowing that sentiment to resonate throughout this space.
